Welcome to the landmark 100th episode of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast recorded across two continents.
Michael, Lee, and Gordon are back to celebrate the fun that’s been the past 33 months and 100 episodes. What started during the lockdown era in May 2020 has grown into a must listen for East Fife fans the world over, looking at the past, present, and future.
The guys are joined by a couple of special guests for this special episode and first up is the Bayview legend that is Kenny Deuchar (26.10). Making his sixth appearance on the show (four of those having been as co-host), the good doctor takes questions from listeners about his time at East Fife, his career, and more, including a fantastic story about meeting Jeff Stelling.
We’re also joined by Eugene Clarke (77.42) to talk about the latest attempt to buy out the majority shareholder of East Fife and have the club community owned. It’s been tried before to no avail, but this time around it’s looking a lot more positive and there’s some government backing to the plan as well.
All of this and there’s still time to delve into East Fife getting back to winning ways, with a hugely important 1-0 win at Albion Rovers (115.26).

Welcome to Episode 98 of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast recorded across two continents.
Well the feelgood factor didn’t last long down Bayview way as the first month of 2023 isn’t even done and dusted and Fife fans are very unhappy with what is happening with their team.
Sitting three points of third, but just six off bottom, the season could still go either way for midtable East Fife with 15 games to go, yet the overriding feelings amongst the Bayview faithful are anger, worry, and disappointment. How will the season play out? Should we be worried about our future? What is behind the terrible home form? Is Greig McDonald the man to get the team out of the current rut of just one win in nine and if he is, how is he going to do it?
Lee and Michael delve into all of that and more in an unscripted and unplanned episode where they’re just telling it like it is and shooting from the hip and speaking from the heart.
