Welcome to Episode 35 of Glory Days of Gold.
Recorded across two continents, Glory Days of Gold brings you a regular dose of East Fife FC and Scottish football chat, with a splattering of interesting interviews, fun segments, and music thrown in along the way.
We've lots of chat and two interviews for you this week. First up is a man who had two spells at Bayview, he won promotion with the team 18 years ago, and is still very fondly remembered by the fans - Euan Donaldson. We talk to Euan about his time at East Fife, his journey to that point in his career, the success after it in the junior game, and lots more.
Our second interview this week is tied in with our latest Wavelength selection. Glasgow band The Eisenhowers released their third album last month and the last track on it, and the first single taken from it, is a football based song called "3 O'Clock On A Saturday". Dubbed "a love letter to Scottish football" it's an evocative song, made all the more meaningful by having our ability to attend football matches taken away from us just now. We chat with singer songwriter Raymond Weir about the song, how football runs deep in us all, and give it a play for you all to enjoy. It even namechecks Bayview!
All of that, plus we talk going back in time to watch famous matches, Cameron Barnes features as our Artists of the Month alongside the Methil and District Pipe Band, and we find out if Davie Beaton fancies a chocolate digestive.
Here's the rundown for the main segments from the episode:

The lockdown continues, as do the questions around when League 1 and League 2 teams will be back on the football pitch, but all of that doesn't deter us here at Glory Days of Gold as we bring you another excellent interview with a former black and gold hero, and this time with a local lad to boot, former captain Craig 'Stonie' Johnstone.
We chat with Craig about his journey from the amateurs to East Fife, all the highs and lows of his four seasons at Bayview, the many managers he played under, playing against his boyhood heroes, that infamous supporters bus incident, and much much more.

The lockdown may mean no action on the pitch for East Fife but that doesn't stop us bringing you another packed show as we return to our popular interviews with Bayview legends, as we sit down for a chat with one of the best centre backs to wear the black and gold in the modern era, Davie Beaton.
Davie talks about his six plus seasons at Bayview, the Murray years, promotion with Steve Archibald, the host of characters he dealt with on and off the pitch, one eyed bus drivers, and lots lots more. East Fife are still unbeaten in 2021! In both league and cup! A 5-1 Scottish Cup victory over Tranent on Saturday was a comfortable outing in the end after an early scare. We look back on the game, share some of our favourite East Fife Scottish Cup memories, look ahead to the cup draw, and talk about what we can take from the match into our tough league campaign.
A campaign made all the tougher with leading scorer Jack Hamilton returning to Livingston after being recalled from his loan spell. A temporary move and he'll be back in a few weeks or do the Fife need to find a replacement asap? Can they afford to wait and see if they have enough firepower in their ranks to carry them over the next couple of games.
Will there even be games now that Covid is hitting teams in England hard? We discuss all of that and a lot more. Plus Werd (SOS) is in this week's Have You Heard? and Dive In The Box feature in this week's Wavelength.
Here's the rundown for the main segments from the episode:
